yea I've done these exercises my chiropractor has taught me but I'm convinced I'll always have some back pain. Good posture when you sit helps me the most.

Started up the moderate workout last night, it's basically 2 new exercises added to the beginner one. Feels more targeted to the lower back. Will have more to add after doing this for a couple of weeks.

In week 2 of the moderate workout (3x week). So tonight will be the 5th time I'm doing it.

Played ball on Sunday and was very uncomfortable with the jumping involved. I recommend staying away from plyometrics while doing this if there are significant weak spots like I have on my left lower body. I do feel like I'm getting much stronger but there's too much change going on right now to have good performance on the court so I'ma be a spot-up shooter for the next little while.

I'll update again next week...

One more week to go on the moderate, then I'm jumping into the intense workout which is the highest level.

The inside of my left leg is taking on more responsibility in my movements. This is the leg that has been operated on twice and has never been the same after that second operation. the muscle behind my knee is more engaged but is still much weaker than that on the other leg. I'm also more conscious of how tight my left hip has gotten as it's constantly tenser to support the weak knee. The leg is firing much better, mainly in the calf. The quad and hamstring are lagging behind.

There's a lot of shifting going on from that knee up to my left lower back as I get back to a more balanced composition. Hopefully by the end of the program my upper leg will have found its groove and will fire as effectively as my calf.

After a month of the intense workout I want to jump into something more strenuous. Options being considered are an Insanity/P90X hybrid or just lifting and swimming. Maybe even mix up all of the above.

My ultimate goal is to be able to dunk. According to the book, after doing these exercises your base should be strong so that whatever program you do next will have better than normal results so I'm looking to take advantage of that.

1 week to go, feeling good about transitioning to Insanity/swimming/lifting

I can recommend this based on my experience with it. My core is stronger and my body is more balanced.

i recommend just buying the mp4s for this if you're interested. i kinda fukked up my back for a few weeks cause it was a little difficult to follow the instructions in the book and to do the exercises at the same time.

if you have real back problems though (like if you have a degenerative back disease thats genetic) like me though, this is pretty much hell on the lower back.

I've pulled my lower back muscle twice. 2nd time was 2 days ago. What did your chiropractor tell you?
