Mac Miller had 15-20 mil views on his youtube videos. I Don't Like already has 15 Ms. I agree that overall internet buzz doesn't = sales. But that's the-coli and livemixtapes. Youtube is so much a part of our culture that everyone knows about it and uses it. From ratchet slores to old cacs. So youtube hits are somewhat of a indicator for sales.

some valid points but comparing Mac miller n chief keef doesn't add up, Mac has the cult following of white college kids who will support his albums and even he had out multiple projects before selling that much. N to b honest I don't think his album even went gold, I could b wrong tho.

Mac Millers buzz was not about singles.
His fame didn't come from 1 single, it came from mixtapes, freestyles, shows and all that. The single Donald Trump which was his last single had like 50 million views not 15-20 and has 70 today, his normal mixtape songs had 15-20. When Cheif Keef start selling out shows and dropping mixtapes with 100s of thousands of downloads in 24h, that's when you can compare them.
