Nah I from what I've ever heard of Star he always seemed like he wuz tryna agitate people for entertainment perposes, trying to get people mad....Charlamane overall just seems to ask people shyt that he really wanna kno...and looks like the bad guy cuz Envy and Angela Yee either never ask the akward questions or beat around the Bush wit it.

He wasn't trying to get people mad. Star was basically being himself, which he's always been, dating back to when he use to write the column "Reality Check" for the Source during the 90's. And it made for great radio. If you listened to Char when he was on Wendy Williams show and even now, there's tons of times where he tried way too hard to shyt on people. And it came off as being contrived. To be all the way 100, Howard Stern paved the way for radio personalities to wild out on air. Star paved the way for radio jocks to do the same, on the Hip Hop side of things, during the morning drive. Star fathered Charlemagne, point blank period. To each its own but in order to understand where I and other people from up north (NY/NJ) are talking about, you would have had to listen to Star when his show was killing the ratings 10 years ago. If the Breakfast Club was out back then, they would get eatin alive.

Char kept it respectful. He wasn't gon disrespect Nelly to his face...he only does it to people like Lil mama, or chingy. Lol just keepin it real. I fukks with Char, but he obviously picks and chooses who to disrespect.

Star wasn't like that. He truly aint give a fukk. Ask prodigy and jim jones, and Hov

Thank you. It's not about stanning anybody, it's about truth. Star was more authentic and the difference between him and Char is you actually saw him out here in the hood. He would pop shyt on the radio then you would see him in different parts of Brooklyn (he actually lived there for a min), Harlem, BX, Newark, Jersey City, with no security. You don't see Char out here. And its nothing wrong with that but I don't respect anyone who pops shyt about people but hides behind security (which I've seen him around with before). If you came up on listening to Star and Buc, then you know the shyt the Breakfast Club do ain't impressing anyone. They're only successful by default because Hot 97's morning show is weak. If they brought Star and Buc back on the air today, I promise you it would be a different story.

Hell yea!! lol Eddie Griffith (they were about to get into an altercation), Lil Zane, Diddy, Mary J, Lil Mo, 50, Banks, Joe Budden, Cam, Jim Jones, Superhead, etc. And those artists all took the shots in stride for the most part. As I've I said, what Char is trying to do now (being provocative), Star was doing 10 years ago but BETTER! Star ain't have no filter, he went all the way in with his (whether he was right or wrong). And that's what I respect about him the most.

There was def some tension in there. But its not like what Char was saying was wrong, Nelly is cold in the music biz right now like how is that even really offensive? Other than that the interview was kind of whack tho, and if it wasnt for Char that interview would have been even worse.

dude made a comment about Irv Gotti pulling him aside and saying you got a good girl....you know Irv Gotti probably had Ashanti in positions :scheme: Nelly STILL probably can't get her to do....Nelly didn't appreciate that shyt not one bit and that nicca switch subjects quick like those WSHH goons were waiting at the door :heh:

:lawd:

one thing you can say about Charlamange he not gonna back down from asking the questions or saying shyt people wanna say...right in front of the artist's face....

FLEX will do it from AFAR..like via the phone :heh:

and the shyt Char said was real..like FLO-RIDA is the new NELLY...he got that POP MONEY that NELLY should have gotten..and even NELLY acknowledged that Florida basically read his blueprint and took it further....

and like this shyt with Ashanti......

Do you really wanna wife up a chick that IRV GOTTI ran thru?:youngsabo:

nelly time is done as a rapper...he just needs to BOSS UP and do it from an executive level......and stop gambling..sniffing powder and tricking on scrippers

before he become Yung Buck status

I guarantee when they're not on air Charlamagne never tells these artists that they're cold or none of that, 100% radio gimmick. he should just admit that it's his gimmick and stop frontin, you like to disrespect people and sell it as "i'm just telling the truth", essentially throwing bricks then hiding your hands so nigs won't break your face.

Saying Nelly is cold in music right now is not telling the whole story though.

Every artist has been cold at a time in the career, but how many rappers have ever been as hot as Nelly was? 35 million records sold :merchant:
