At the end of the day, Charlemagne ain't nothing but a light weight, diet version of Star. After listening to Star and Buc Wild in their prime (when they were on both Hot 97 and 105), when they were REALLY getting at people hard body, the shyt that Char or the rest of the Breakfast Club do is just weak in comparison imo

See the thing with Star was he was natural with the hate. He didn't come off as trying too hard, when getting at people. A lot of times it feels like Char is reading off a script when he's dissing people. It just feels contrived to me. Plus Star was way funnier with it, without even trying to be funny at all. Star and Buc had so many classic shows back then. Having celebrities on their show didn't make them hot. They made themselves hot by just being them. Thats the difference between Star and Buc and BC. Plus another thing about Star and Buc's show was they would drop knowledge on certain issues in between the hate. Granted, Star went off the deep end sometimes (Aaliyah plane crash incident,remarks towards DJ Envy's daughter) But if you were able to bypass the madness for one second, it was a real intellectual show. So as I said, from listening to Star and Buc during their Hot 97 run, Breakfast Club just doesn't compare one bit.

There was def some tension in there. But its not like what Char was saying was wrong, Nelly is cold in the music biz right now like how is that even really offensive? Other than that the interview was kind of whack tho, and if it wasnt for Char that interview would have been even worse.

Nah I from what I've ever heard of Star he always seemed like he wuz tryna agitate people for entertainment perposes,trying to get people mad....Charlamane overall just seems to ask people shyt that he really wanna kno...and looks like the bad guy cuz Envy and Angela Yee either never ask the akward questions or beat around the Bush wit it.
