Moby dikk is my favorite novel
The chapter reflecting on what it truly means to be a Christian and whether ritualistic idol worship, for the sake of developing a true relationship with the indigenous man, and to make him feel welcome, is more Christian than strict adherence - was some of the greatest writing I’ve encountered in 19th century writing.

by far my favorite stream-of-consciousness book from that time period.
