Well he didn't say that but his demeanor about the situation wasn't rowdy and belligerent. He just told me about it shyt but didn't really come off as someone who was planning some sort of retaliation. My brother is more of a street dude so it's not like he doesn't know anyone that could pay the block a visit but he seem to be chill about it. Again that's just my brief observation from talking to him.

Well he doesn't have to, but he doesn't have to escalate things to the point in possibly getting his life taken over material objects. Plus the proximity of these dudes makes it dangerous to even attempt something as my brother frequents the area often.

nikka held a shotty to his head and he chalking it up as an "L" if nikkas pointing a gun at me they better shoot me, whether I'm a street nikka or not. If I'm not, I'm calling the cops, if I am, nikkas are getting bodied like it's 9/16/2013 in DC.
Again he didn't explicitly say "fukk it I'ma let this slide..", he just didn't really talk much about the shyt afterwards. I feel you on the calling cops and getting nikkas bodied shyt but again, that's just the reactionary thinking which may have unfavorable consequences.

calling the cops is a waste of time. They arent gonna do shyt and you'll more than likely never see that stuff again. It can actually make things worse especially if you get robbed for something very valuable and you havent been honest with the IRS about your money..

some nikkas stole it, and my moms called da cops.
we had an idea who did it, so the cops scoped out they crib for a few days n ended up seein our ps3, went n got it bacc

I haven't been successfully robbed at gunpoint but on 3 occasions i've been close. I have however had my car broken into/ stolen on 2 occasions.

The first time i was actually out of town and my homie truck go stolen...i remember thinking "I'm so glad i had all my important stuff with me and left my cd's and etc home". I get a call about 2hrs later from my brother talking about "hey bro...don't be mad at me but I took your car to a party and someone broken in it and took your radio and cd's". I was so pissed.

The 2nd time i was over my grandma house...Christmas night. I had picked my cousin up from a truck stop where he parked his 18wheeler...but his stuff was in there and my gift's from that day was in the trunk. I go outside to get my laptop out of the trunk and i see my car is gone. In shock i ask if my brother if my mom took it somewhere...she over heard me and was like "i'm in the living room". It was like my soul left me...i called the police and they saw metal flakes on the ground and was like "I'll be honest...we recover only about 15 to 20% of the cars stolen so don't expect to see your car again" Before he finished his report they get a call saying they saw my car about 3mi from were i lived at and it was in an accident. I get there to the scene and my fukkin car was totaled and the people that stole it jumped out and ran. Top it off...the stupid chick they hit tried to sue my insurance company

mexicans out here be stealin cars like its nothin. they dont gaf they just slap a new VIN number on that shyt and keep it pushin. Its so common i feel like the cops really dont even care. you betta stay with some a-1 insurance cause nikkas will get you sooner or later

never got robbed personally, but had the crib broke into a number of times over the years. hell, I think I'd rather get robbed as a person than my crib. its easier to replace my driver's license than to have to fix doors/windows

To answer your question, nope.

Calling the police is a waste of time. They're not about to put a lot of effort in tracking down some random robbers who stole from one black guy.

The good thing is that he's alive, money and a new phone can be replaced but a life can't.

I've never been robbed, but I've had a few close calls, like taking the bus back and the bus driver doing a short turn and my young suburban self was stuck in a grimey area at lke 1am at night in the dead of winter and two dudes on the other side of the street are like calling me over like yo come over here for a second, i just jetted like usain bolt to the nearest gas station

Yo that "yo come over here" move is classic. I never fell for that shyt. I always ignore them nikkas. Who falls for that shyt? I remember one time I was in college at Georgia Tech (which is in the middle of the hood) and these obviously out of place lookin goons were roaming the campus by the library at night. They started walking aggressively towards me and I power walked my ass right into the library and chilled out for a bit.
