Anyone know how to obtain a decent sword and/or crossbow? (Not vampire related)

I made a thread about losing weight a while ago and I've lost quite a bit. Went from 260ish to 191 in a little under two years. Holidays kinda killed me and my weight loss has been mostly from diet, lifestyle changes and a lot of walking. I exercise sometimes but only something light here and there for my mood and mental health.

I haven't gained anything back but I stalled.

I'm considering getting into some serious training but I don't want to get shredded without unlocking some stats or at least having EXP. Unfortunately, I don't have access to a forge right now.

Like I said, I'm about 190 and there aren't a lot of vampires or undead in general in my area, but you never know, right? So how do I go about obtaining a sword? It can be light or heavy because I don't wear a lot of armor. I'm also not concerned with potions or materia slots, so all suggestions are welcome.

Also, if you have crossbow insight it would be greatly appreciated.

Ravin makes the best crossbows, but they run a few racks

these shyts looking legit. Like, I could see how they are worth the 4k+. I just don't like the color way but I suppose the camo could come in handy if I decide to get into hunting.

Depends on what type of sword you want. All swords aren't equal. I would recommend a katana. That'll have you swinging swords like Shinobi. But you might want to be on your King Arthur shyt. Compromise and be a Highlander.

Swords are overkill for vampires anyway. They move faster than you, so you need something smaller with the element of surprise. If you are fighting human ninjas, get you a Katana, and if you live in the Northeast, I'm banking that you are.

bought mines from Mediaeval Times. They sell real sword but they aren't sharpened. You can get them sharpened if you want, but I found I can probably still kill people by stabbing them. They cant really blunt the tip. They also heavy as fukk in real life.

Just swinging a 2 handed sword 50 times will completely 100% exhaust you. For strike training, you want to buy a straight iron sword. Never blunt your gangsta swords for training. Just get a heavy ass iron sword.

just go to a small local archery shop breh. idk shyt about archery but i sometimes need a certain archery-related part for one of my other hobbies, i always get treated like a king when the guy behind the counter figures out i'm a noob.

it's an actual useful hobby too, you can hunt and fill up ur freezer with a bow, what the hell can you do with a sword?

The archery is useful for sure but with the right sword, I can really build some strength and stay lean. I don't think I'll ever get that shredded look but swordplay seems fun. I also make indie movies so it could be dope on set or for choreography in my world.

How long you been training? Did you do a class or join a swordplay community? Or you just be going at it? Pause.
