Well true, but more to the point, you're NEVER going to pay off your CC debt by paying the minimum. Paying it off every month is much better for your score in say 5 years than carrying a negatively amortizing balance.

If you pay at least the minimum, but less than the full payment, you will be charged interest, but will not hurt your credit score.

I hear what you're saying and you're right but you can't really advocate "just make the minimum payment" as a sound financial move, right?

I only use my credit cards for business dealings,
and surplies.....paint,drywall,appliances etc.
other than that it's cash.

you maintain credit by paying the min payment dont have to pay it off in full to maintain your credit.
Are you talking about the Canadian credit system? Its different from the US.

Paying it off in full gives you a higher credit score than paying only the minimum payment due. Also keeping your utilization ratio below 50%(ideally 20%) will keep your score in tip top shape.
