****Not my words

One of my favorite things are the increasing Gross Margins and EPS surge that is being caused by the ramping of the highly profitable EPYC sales.
But there is so much that is good with AMD. One has to start with:
1 Great Leadership – Dr. Lisa Su and team
2 7nm technologies are already on their way to come out
3 Architectural Design Brilliance
4 Chiplets/Modularity/Infinity Fabric for Moore Performance
5 Modularity+Infinity Fabric for Less Engineering Cost
6 Modularity/Infinity Fabric Enables Unique Products
7 Zhongshan Subor gaming console in Chinese market
8 Microsoft Xbox
9 Sony Playstation
10 AMDs new generation of laptops and desktop APUs
11 Tesla has discarded Nvidia GPUs for its new autonomous driving hardware. It is rumored that the new hardware is using AMD hardware with custom Tesla designed elements
12 TAM++ : AMD is shipping products this year across a larger TAM than any of it’s competitors.
13 Semiconductor design is like driving a semi-trailer
14 7nm Rome Epyc “Monster” : 32/64 cores/threads per chip
15 7nm Vega X2 “Monster” : 7nm Vega has Infinity Fabric and can be run with MULTIPLE Vega chiplets in one GPU.
16 Security: AMD did not as much nightmares on the CPU flaws in 2018
17 NEW Markets AMD has/will enter 2017-2019: mid and high end desktop CPU market, mid and high end laptop market, Entire workstation market, Entire professional desktop market, Entire professional laptop market, high end GPU market, Entire datacenter server CPU market low middle and high end, AI market, Embedded Market
18 Institutional Demand: Only 692 institutions own AMD vs 2789 who own INTC
I think I get the gist of what you're saying but can you write it in layman's terms so that I can have a fair idea of what you even posted.

I am new to investing and all the terminology/ lingo so forgive me.

Most of that info was less about actual investing and more about knowing the company you are investing in like I told you in the other thread.

Im actually learning about the Tech side of computing as I go along.

I will sum it up the best that I can.

Intel makes top notch CPU's, while Nvidia makes top notch GPU's. AMD is the only Company in the world that makes both.

AMD chips powers the PlayStation and Xbox current and next generation of gaming systems.

It mentions TAM, thats total addressable market. Basically thats the size of different streams of income a company can tap into.

For AMD, thats all forms of gaming, laptops/desktops, data centers, self driving cars, AI, VR, etc

To kind of sum the rest of it up...

AMD Tech. is overall better than others right now and Intel is YEARS away from catching up.

When you get the time, google IOT, or Internet of Things. Pretty cool stuff and a possible BIG money maker for AMD.

Yeah i bought mine on robinhood. This is a great business and we are in the perfect space to capitalize of off the massive growth this will have. Imo this is a $150+ stock in 3 years. Nvidia was $15 5 years ago now its $267. We think Amd will be better long term as it grows and takes more market share from its rivals.

The Ummah!
Just sold my options at $32 and made $2500 off of $500 investment. Went with the high risk option of them hitting $30 by sept. 14th :win:

Breh real quick can you explain how to exercise the options. I know I can sell my contracts to someone else and make a small profit but how do I bank like u did? I got amd. 33.50 strike price by Friday. If it hits 35 tomorrow what do I do and how do I eat?

AMD TAKING OVER!!!

The next generation of AMD powered gaming consoles are to be using Zen platform and Navi/Vega APUs

AMD dominates gaming console world and it is so obvious. Now with its design of custom graphics/processors made by vega or future navi, AMD systems are not only powering some of the top sellers like xbox one, but also AMD GPUs are now set to power the Xbox and PS future models as well as the current pro and entry-level models, the Nintendo and the Atari. Now as the new step in keeping the market to itself, AMD has announced recently that it is rolling out new console designed APU with an AMD Zen chip with Vega graphics for a Chinese company SUbor Z+. And that is while some leaks are pointing to AMD as the future chip-maker of PS5, Xbox scarlet and the cloud version Scarlet cloud and of course the SMACH Z powerful specs were on the news last week. maybe the only Console not made by AMD is the Nintendo latest version that was powered by Nvidia and arm processor.

INTELL IN TROUBLE

We've confirmed through multiple sources that Intel is fabbing its new H310C chipset on its 22nm process. That means the chip-making giant has taken a step back to an older process for the H310C chipset as it struggles with its ongoing shortage of 14nm processors. Contrary to recent reports, our sources confirmed Intel manufactures these chips and not TSMC (which has been reported in recent weeks), though that could be subject to change in the future.

H310C Credit: mydrivers.comThe shift in Intel's strategy comes as the company struggles with the fallout from its chronically delayed 10nm process. Now the company is dealing with an increasingly loud chorus of reports that Intel's 14nm shortage is now impacting its server, desktop and mobile chips.
