Schooling people takes forever; don't bother
...just install both ublock origin and ghostery adblockers on your browser. on phone, disable the youtube app and set default that all youtube links to be watched on an ad blocked browser instead of chrome. file hosting cloud services have authority to delete your account for whatever reason so always keep localized versions of your files on western digital external (non-refurbished) drives

...you can block youtube shorts completely using a custom filter script on ublock origin on your browser

I copped 30TB Google drive for about 50/month

5tb a year is like 70 a year

Turkey

Cancelled my Dropbox and migrating over to Google drive

Still gotta setup my family account for turkey i.fukked it up and people can't join cause they in a different country
Google Drive for Business got an unlimited Enterprise plan for $20 a month. There used to be a $10 unlimited plan but they kept ramping up the price. They dropped it and moved me over to Enterprise for $20. I think you have to sign up for business then switch to the Enterprise plan. You also need a domain, but those are dirt cheap. I got over 80TB's on there.

This is here in the US. No need for VPN/region fukkery.

Or just pay the couple bucks for premium so it works across platforms

basically. cuz all that wizardry doesn't work on the YT app on video game consoles, apple tv and tv apps. furthermore, YT premium gets you PiP functionality and u can listen with the screen off.

and like u said, it works across all platforms. I will gladly pay the $2 for the 6 YT premium accounts to share with my family.

Was reading more about this and got mixed messages. Some claim they put a hard quota on their storage or prevented them for uploads until they got down to 5TB...others say they got unlimited everything

It's tempting but I'll fukk around with this turkey 30tb for a bit and maybe try the business one on a main account to see if they fukk with me

They have always had a 5TB limit listed unless you have 5 or more users, but they had never enforced it. Now since they've changed it over my plan says unlimited data.

Right now I pay $14 a month but eventually it's going to be $20, but they might have just grandfathered me in.
