It was Locke and these 2 trailers that made me want to see the films

the scar jo jawn was directed by the sexy beast dude, so it must be weird piff

Man, watching this I was thinking how awesome a movie would be about that concrete deal if they showed us everything. The manager having to call up Chicago to tell them the biggest deal in their company history has gotten jeopardized, the backroom/unorthodox dealings with the council guy to get the permits for closing the roads, the Irish guy trying to keep things running but having to resort to hiring a bunch of Poles off the books to finish the job, all that shyt.

Nah, this was way more suspenseful. Buried was alright until they started forcing the suspense and had this motherfukker fighting snakes inside his coffin while setting fire to it and shyt.

Here the suspense is more genuine because while exaggerated for dramatic purposes, we've all been in situations were you had to choose between your principles and your job or family. And in the center of that is Hardy's performance, which practically determines the worth of the movie, because basically the entire movie is about how he deals with that situation.

I was more impressed with the writing than anything. Hardy didn't do anything that i wouldn't expect out of any competent actor.
