Hilton at LAX.. It's not sketchy at all. It's convenient as shyt for me because its easy to get to Beverly Hills or Hollywood from there taking the city streets.

San Diego like they've said you can't go wrong staying near the Gaslamp District. There are women on top of women out there.

The Hilton there is probably one of their best properties in the States not named Conrad or Waldorf.

Also the W. Never can go wrong there either. You can find action in the lobby .

San Diego: The US Grant! It's near all the best dining spots. Also, if you want to be close to an amazing beach, Hotel Del Coronado.

If u in L.A. i'll tell u to stay in Anaheim. the hotels are cheaper and overall cleaner at the prices u looking at.

Only real quality hotels in the L.A. for me are up in North Hollywood.

Plus if u stay in anaheim the hotel provide tour buses up to Hollywood, beverly hills, the hollywood bowl , the Blvd , etc

Look OP, if you want a decent spot in downtown LA close to the Staples Center, check out Hilton Checkers. Real nice low key DTLA hotel.

I like to pick either a Marriott or a Hilton hotel or their affiliate hotels. I build up my points that way.
Don't go through Expedia, you pay a booking fee. When you book directly on the hotel's website, there is no booking fee.
