So I have been slowly cutting things out that are not completely organic

And I must admit at first I thought it was just in my head, but now I actually taste the differences immediately even on small things such as ketchup and everything else.

I am not much of a fruit eater, so I can't vouch for the differences there. But carefully watching the meats, condiments, beans and veggies...in about 3 months you will notice the difference. Its like my taste buds are slowly rejecting high fructose corn syrup and all those other ingredients they are adding to our foods breh.

I had "Kroger Value" ketchup my friend had in his fridge and was like...:silvaugh: this doesn't taste right.

For the most part I am.

People will say its a waste of money, yadda yadda yadda.
I say why be cheap on your energy source?
The saying "You are what you eat" is literally true.

I feel bad about taking protein powders though...but I only take the kind made w/ Stevia.

The standards for organic are still so arbitrary I don't know if it's wholesale worth it.

For things like condiments they do "taste" better but I attribute that more to what is and isn't used ingrident wise.

Fruit and veggies I buy organic apples because those are supposed to be the fruit with the most contaminant liability.

I roasted a chicken that I got from Whole Foods last week..organic, free range, etc etc...hands down, I swear, the best tasting chicken I've ever eaten in my life. My grad school salary can't afford 100% organic, but I will definitely be more mindful of the type of meat that I purchase 'cause there's no going back at this point.:ahh:

(Idk if meat can be classified as being organic or not, but felt my comment was relevant nonetheless:manny:)

if my dogs could speak im sure they would cosign this......

ive been doing the organic/wholefoods thing for awhile now so i really dont have a frame of referrence to other grocery store prices......

i just know that its ur body......and taking the best care of it should be priorty number 1. So if other stuff gotta to come up short....so be it. But if u really penny penching out here id suggest going the route using whatever money u have for groceries on organic food and go as far as it takes u.......if u got a fast a few days between pay checks :yeshrug: so be it.

also whole foods takes food stamps so if u know anybody that gets ebt cards pay them half of what they will let u use the card for (i.e. $25.00 cash for 50 ebt money). People in hood supermarkets advertise this service......if u giving them 100.00 for 200 im sure they'd take the ride to whole foods with u. Also, dudes who get released from jail are given ebt cards with 200.00 per month limits. Alot of them dont need them and will sell them too u.

I don't know people on food stamps :yeshrug: But I definitely hear what you're saying about my body being #1 ..I'm slowly but surely trying to be more mindful of that.
