Yeah Them last few seasons with Joe never felt like they needed to get rescued. . Cause they'd just do a bunch of unnecessary shyt mainly cause of Joe then the episode was over

Another thing about MWW is that, even if this may have been staged...they kinda showed how the wife grew throughout the series.

Like I remember in the later episodes, she came upon a snake, I thought she was about to go get her husband...but she fukked around and killed the snake herself! I was....

Honestly, my rankings are :

Survivorman > Man, Woman, Wild > Man Versus Wild > Dual Survival

Les Stroud is the GOAT, I don't even need to explain. This cat will set up a camera, film himself walking up a mountain, then turn his ass around, go get his camera, then walk up the mountain again.

MWW was SLEPT ON. One thing I liked was that, unlike most of these other shows, they would actually FAIL quite a lot. Also, it was cool to see a husband and wife team doing this, they used to actually bicker a lot, made for good tv.

Man Versus Wild....I guess this is the most popular one, and Bear Grillz is a good host, but his show has always felt the most staged. That's been the big critique of him I guess. In later seasons they make it more of a "tag-along" where he talks to the cameraman a lot more and makes it feel more like he's kinda giving the audience a guide.

Dual Survival....they keep changing the people too much, and honestly, I kinda never felt like they brought anything new to the table. Most of the time I feel like they just make things harder on themselves. I never get a sense that they actually need to do any of the things they do to survive.

This makes it seem like he was not only lying....but that he was a straight up incompetent.

I'm getting a sense that Discovery knew about both of these dudes, but just didn't care because they fit into their perspective on what the show should be like. They've shown no issue in regards to pulling guys off the program...they probably prefer the fact that these dudes lying about their backgrounds gives them a good reason to rotate them out of the show.
