Got to listen to your body
About once or twice a year, I stop lifting for about 2 or 3 weeks and never regret it. I still try to stay with a clean diet, I still do calisthenics, maybe cardio, but as far as weightlifting goes I chill while on leave. Just rest, eat good, drink water, and you come back feeling refreshed...
I've heard of some bodybuilders taking like 3 months off sometimes
