I am going to talk to him but wanted to see what other people did first. That's what a man does, figure out his options and strategy before making a move.
A man would know what anyone on here did in their situation doesn't matter unless someone on here rented from the same landlord and signed the same exact lease that you did. :comeon:

I did. Got a job overseas, showed my folks in the leasing office my paperwork and was out with no penalty. This was in GA if that matters.

There should be terms in whatever lease agreement you signed about leaving early. You gotta read it to find out.

Probably gives you a better chance that you’re renting from a random landlord off the books than a property mgt company. They’re usually stricter

nikka gon be on your helmet with litigation or shut all your shyt off and make it hot for you:russ:
The only way he will possibly let you out of a lease is your history as a tenant
Probably will have to pay a couple of months before you leave
Private landlords you are pretty much on how they feel about you and your circumstance
And even if you get out the lease
They may hit you with them fees later on
Saying damage to the property or needing to clean or other various “incidents” to the property you know nothing about
Take pictures from now until you leave
Document everything and hope buddy likes you enough to do it
Also be sure if you indeed break this lease
Buddy doesn’t report to a credit bureau
You really are at the whim of buddy
It could go smoothly or real bad
Real quick
Plot twist: @Kiyoshi-Dono is the landlord.

do you think he really wants to take you to court to try to extract money from you, as opposed to just getting enough of a heads up to get a new tenant in there, and starting over with a new tenant? enough of a heads up being the important part

ive never been in this situation, but i can't imagine as a landlord, they wouldn't rather just get a new tenant in there, than have to fight you for money in court
