I had the Hasbro figures in the 90's. I don't remember exacty which ones but I definitely remember playing with them as a kid. In 2014 when I was in Walmart I happened to browse by the toy section. Out of curiosity I decided to see what toys they had and I saw a Mattel Defining moments Razor Ramon. I used to love him as a kid so I said fukk it and bought him.

Soon after I started buying a bunch of the Mattel elite figures, mostly wrestlers from the New Generation, Attitude era, and 90's WCW since that was the period that I grew up watching wrestling. Brings back some good memories :mjcry:

I use to use my TV as a entrance ramp and would play the wrestling themes from Wrestlemaina 2000:banderas:

i might have been like 5 or 6 and i was scared to get a shot at the doctors so my mother said if i did she would take me to toys r us and get wrestling figures.

so i get my shot, my mother delivers on her promise and takes me to toys r us. all the wrestlers they had out were guys i already had. so my mother asks some guy working there "do you have any more wrestlers in the back"... the guy was like :yeshrug:"i don't think so"

thankfully there was another guy working there cool as fukk and he came over and he was like :childplease:"yea we got a ton in the back"... he looked at me and he was like:smugdraper: "who do you want"

i just started naming random guys who i knew i didn't have at the time.

"earthquake":ld:

"sgt. slaughter":ld:

"texas tornado":ld:

he was like :obama:... then he goes to the back and comes out with ALL THREE guys. i was like :ooh::gladbron::ohlawd:.

and that's my wrestling figure story. :mjcry:

Still got all my shyts up in the loft in a big blue box, with some on display, including the classic superstars HBK in survivor series 97 removable attire :ohlawd:

FR tho... yall don't understand the struggle of collecting figs while living outside the US... i'd always see pics of shyt like classic superstars twin packs and all the exclusives but we didn't get SHYT like that over in the UK except for maybe a couple places around the country that were wrestling specific shops :mjcry:

Anyone on here from around the Newcastle area remember that wrestling place in the Metrocentre, near Argos :wow: sold damn near every fig series ever. I've never recovered from the day I walked in and saw it was closed ::mjcry:

I used to have a lot of the really old bigger ones that were made of rubber

king kong bundy, piper, hogan etc a lot of them ended up missing pieces of their limbs in the end

had a great ring with them with a detachable cage too

later I had the hogan and warrior wrestling buddies too (think I had savage and either hawk or animal too but my memory is kind of cloudy)

oh yeah I definately had the rubber paul ordorff too and possibly rick rude but I could be wrong there

My mom did some similar shyt to me when I went to boot camp in 2006. I had a bunch of VHS tapes of some classic 80s and 90s NWA and WCW, 90s ECW, NJPW, WWF Coliseum tapes, etc. Basically stuff that is NOT on the network and you can't find on YouTube, Dailymotion, etc. I hadn't been living with my mom but kept stuff of mine (those tapes, old action figures, comic books, etc) at her place since I didn't have enough space at my apartment. I really wasn't watching wrestling much during that time period so those tapes hadn't been watched in years.

Long story short, I started getting back into wrestling again in 2011 after the CM Punk pipe bomb and got nostalgic for old wrestling matches so I wanted to get those tapes to transfer to DVD. She said she threw them away years prior! I asked her why she did that and her excuse was they were collecting dust and we don't have a VCR so I figured you didn't need them/want them. :francis:
