Anyone else wish How to Make it in America didn't get canceled?

I loved that show. There were rumours of it getting picked up on another network but nothing happened :sadcam:

dont get my wrong i liked the show, especially if your in your mid twenty's and grew up in the NY/NJ area its a great show, but other than that i knew it wouldnt last long , they tried to recreate a east coast "entourage"

Girls got renewed for a 5th season before the 4th even premiered and we only got 2 seasons of this :francis:

Long live rasta monsta

HBO saw the potential of How To Make It in America and said you know what would make this better....take out all the grittiness, urban culture, hip hop, black people, hispanics, struggling in your 20s and trying to build an empire with your friends....let's get rid of that and add pretentious white girls with liberal arts degrees moving from Iowa to NYC to make it on their rich parent's dimes in a safe gentrified neighborhood in Brooklyn. That's what New York is really about :francis:

Loved this show. The music, scene, vibe, reminds me of my undergrad years slumming it around Williamsburg, fukking around with hipster chicks. :banderas:

I'm so fukking mad they cancelled that shyt and put on Girls. Hate that fukking show with a passion. :birdman:

If I wanted to listen to spoiled white chicks, I'd listen to them dumb vapid broads' conversation as I stood in line behind them in some shytty new Crown Heights coffee shop.

I gotta thank my fellow coli brehs for putting me on. I randomly came across this thread. I always thought the show would be lameso I never gave it a chance....until today. After reading the thread I downloaded the entire first season. I'm already on episode 7. As a native New Yorker born and raised, I cannot say how inspiring and good this show really is. it inspires you to take chances and take advantage of the city like it really should be. this is gold. i had to get season 2 after the 3rd episode and i'm already kind've sad that the show is going to end.

:ehh: I've watched the first 4 episodes so far & I like it. I definitely like it a lot more than "Girls", which I've only seen 3 or 4 episodes of.

:yeshrug: Than again I have the opinion that it's much easier to get into a new show (or movie) when it has actors you're familiar with. I didn't know any of the actors on "Girls" when it first started, while I'm familiar with AT LEAST 6 of the actors on "How to Make It in America".
