Rather than focus on Carolina, when was the last time Roy Williams produced quality NBA talent?
Lawson and Barnes are quality NBA talent
Ty lawson, I'll give you (although with his speed he woulda been good anywhere) since he's the perfect PG for the "run real fast and score before the defense is set" offense that Roy runs, but if anything Roy gets the blame for barnes going from the consensus #1 pro prospect before he stepped foot in chapel Hill, to being utilized so poorly he had to stay two years and wasn't even a top 5 pick. Part of that is scouts & Harrison's fault for him not being the best SF prospect since grant hill like they said but still having your draft stock plummet like that is the reason all these one and dones ain't going to UNC anymore since they see that Roy stagnates their growth and draft status... not even dat MJ connect can get the future lottery picks there anymore.
I agree with most of what you said except the other position statement. Rasheed was well after Worthy. Also Daugherty, Kenny Smith, Rick Fox and others had lengthy careers. Antawn Jamison scored over 20,000 points. Like I said, it is more the curse after Dean left because before that UNC was consistently at the top of schools with most active players in the league and their alums had the played on the most NBA championships..
The williams curse of roy has settled in at unc just like it did at Kansas.
On top of including the tarheel curse at sg after mike, stack to Vince.
Plus never yielding a pf worth a damn since worthy as well.
Coupled with the other position players at pg, sf, & c of no note at all.
who actually somehow became consistent roster spot pros.
You can bet anywhere roy is.
that player coming from roy ain't gon be shyt outside of piru pierce.
Piru pierce is the only lone exception to roy as a coach who can ready players for the NBA. Outside of piru pierce roy is garbage and thus unc will continue to endure the williams tarheel curse of the roy.

If you wanna puss-ify the legacy of your basketball program.
You hire that offbrand bum ass Roy Williams to coach your program.

Y'all cats are funny giving Roy props for building up Justin Jackson. You conveniently forget that he was a top 10 prospect yet he's the only dude in his class that didn't go pro after one year and somehow you got him to stay for 3 years which Roy and UNC I'd known for now. They are the only team that consistently gets their top recruits to stay longer than they should.
