Anyone else not joining the next console generation?

The xbox360 / Triple generation will be the last one for me. Between both systems there were enough gems to last a long long time.

Nothing I've read about the upcoming generation sounds enticing. I think console gaming will die after the PS4 and Xbox720.

A lot of the changes I'm hearing are turning me away from PS4 (fukk a XBOX 720 )

I still gotta run thru mad PS3 games once I actually buy the damn thing.

Depends on backwards compatibility for me. Not just for games but I got a lot of controllers and an arcade stick so if I can't bring all these games and equipment over and there's no ground breaking feature on the next consoles, then they can wait til I got all the value out of what I have

Two reasons I wouldn't buy a next gen console. Either I'd be quitting gaming or I couldn't afford to spend the money. I own a Wii U I haven't played since December but I don't regret the purchase because I have games to play on it just been playing other stuff and it didn't break me fund wise.

I'm not rich but I spend money on games. All I'm saying is if money was no object threads like this probably wouldn't exist. Instead of people being honest with themselves and saying I can't afford it they go there's nothing interesting on it. People always rationalize why not to buy things they can't really afford.

What is it with backwards compatibility for people, what a waste.

How many of these games have you not finished by the time the new generation comes out that this is such a determining factor.

Name me a few games that are so spectacular and Hype worthy that you absolutely must play on the next system that you can't finish now?

As far as games go during the early part of a generation BC helps a lot. Many people are going to be playing GTA5 this fall. If the new systems aren't BC then when people are playing that game they won't be plugged into the ecosystem of the new consoles. If Sony and MS want to make sure their box is the central focus of your entertainment system they better make sure you don't have to turn it off in order to play the most popular games aka GTA, CoD, and Halo.

You putting way too much stock in GTA. Everyone stopped playing GTA4 2 weeks after it came out. Same with every other game that doesn't have a online component that is popular.
GTA4 online was anything but popular, except for hackers. Speaking of which, since PSN has no control over its online anymore
