Anyone else find it weird for a man to not like/follow sports?

My fiancee's friend's husband doesn't watch sports and I can't relate. When we all go out, I don't have shyt to say to dude. I find it :wrist:.

It's not gay, but, yes, it's weird

Mostly because American men are conditioned to be physical and competitive and sports fit that mold

Depends.

My cousin don't really follow sports like that and only has a basic ass knowledge (he lives in boston) but he's a normal dude.

But the people that I know that think sports are "barbaric"/for sheep/to distract the masses etc are definitely 100% weirdos.

If a nikka just indifferent to sports then they usually cool but if they actively try to shyt on em you know their losers

You guys who don't like sports should watch the OKC-Miami game tonight. You might get hooked.

That's the thing. The NBA finals are mad compelling this year. There is drama. This I can take an interest in. Super Bowl (well the last half), boxing matches for a title, and other climactic events are just as interesting as other types of entertainment. I fux wit them. Random games thru the season... Not so much. Too long with no great climax. So yeah. Got my reminder set for the game tonight.

Oh. My dude at work is going on a date Sunday. He actually said to me that he's gonna cut it short cause of the game. I asked him about getting the puzz and he sincerely would rather give the chick a rain check than miss the game. Just sayin

Defensive? I like sports. I was just commenting on what you said and how it fits into the context of this thread. Im not getting upset and calling people names...

As much as I love basketball, All-Star weekend and the playoffs was enough when I had cable. shyt is just too time consumin' tryin' to follow a whole season with all them different teams/games and shyt.

I miss watchin' ball on tv though brehs :noah:

shyt ain't the same streamin' it up...

...although this stream for Game 2 looks really good. Kinda wanna watch :ehh:

Lmao @ appealing to political issues or social issues or business as if most adults sports fans don't make their main living through these avenues. Nobody is so obsessed with sports that they would say sports are more "important" than those things, or whatever. And on top of that, extra LOL @ confirming you can have sex without being a sports fan. Congrats, you sounding insecure as fukk .. how does that contribute to this conversation at all? People like what they like, some are more nerdy about it than others, but nobody accuses anyone else of thinking their hobbies/distractions are on the same level of importance to the world as politics and business. Everyone needs their escape

none of my friends are into sports heavily except one dude who eats, sleeps, and breathes football...thank God my brothers are sports fans

...I'm a nerd though, and my friends are mostly nerds (not lames, but nerds) so I get it...but still...maybe it's cuz I'm mad athletic and grew up playing sports in a sports oriented family...it was impossible to NOT like sports how I grew up.

...but yeah, it sucks when my ex-gf knows more about basketball than all of my male friends...cuz I wanna talk about a game from last night and these nikkas be like "who're the thunder, are they from st louis?" :snoop:

It's called only having an hour to get there, do my shyt and get back to my job. Perhaps this is not a familiar situation for you. One day you might land a job where this kind of schema applies. Since you so smart you also know that I can swim a mile. If you can too then speak on it. If not..... My pool is 25 yards. Swimmers mile is 32 laps or 64 lengths of the pool. My lunch workout is 16 laps (32 lengths). You must be thinking of an olympic size pool. Almost sounds like you have no fukking idea what you're talking about.

maybe one day you'll land a job like me...where your not having to rush back to work to "clock in" before an hour is up.
and sorry to break it to you but 16 laps in 30+ mins is still :flabbynsick: by most swimmers standards. what are you doggy paddling back and forth? no pissing contest but i swim my 2/12 miles in under and hour like i said.

Yeah I usually only watch the end of regular season games, unless its a big matchup.

So you swimming 20 minute miles (which is some epic elite shyt like running 6 minute miles) but don't know how many laps in a mile... Cool story. Doesnt seem like someone would make this up, but I encourage you to measure your pool or count more carefully. Doesnt add up.

I dont clock in. It's called being an honest man. Taking my hour like I am supposed.

The point, which has been lost, is that I work out twice a day most days a week and am in fact not flabby and sick. Pretty easy to understand. N****s said Im gay and out of shape cause I dont watch sports, so I retort. I spend my time studying and thinking about p*ssy, not games, and I can run for an hour.

Oh yeah. My half mile was 17 minutes today. Once I get down to 15 (which is considered decent) I will ramp up my distance. Working toward 30 minute mile.
