You're killing your whole point. Nobody cares about the Berbick or Holmes fights with Ali. Ali pimped himself out A LOT for exhibitions. THere was that embarrassing shyt with Antonio Inoki. He did other wrestling events. Other exhibitions and years later nobody remembers or gives a damn. I'd much rather these dudes be able to cash out for every dollar they can make than to end up like Joe Louis or Sugar Ray Robinson dead broke and really having to embarrass themselves for money.

I saw this documentary on Netflix called CounterPunch recently and they touched on the "floyd effect" and how it can hurt boxing as a sport. We kind of seeing the effects now with dudes like Gervonta Davis barely fighting because it's all about securing a bag with the least amount of risk possible
