You're killing your whole point. Nobody cares about the Berbick or Holmes fights with Ali. Ali pimped himself out A LOT for exhibitions. THere was that embarrassing shyt with Antonio Inoki. He did other wrestling events. Other exhibitions and years later nobody remembers or gives a damn. I'd much rather these dudes be able to cash out for every dollar they can make than to end up like Joe Louis or Sugar Ray Robinson dead broke and really having to embarrass themselves for money.Muhammed Ali and Mike Tyson are still relevant with today's generation and are brought up constantly as icons & inspirations (especially with MMA fighters funnily enough)
if you manage your career and image right you can become a pop culture fixture like they are

..cares more about money than he does about his legacy?
dude doesn't seem to give two fukks about legacy or how he'll be remembered. the guy is the best fighter of his generation but is gonna be remembered more for these clown contests with non-boxers (and making a shyt ton of money doing it) rather than his actual skill in the ring. shyts sad man
So what do you want him to do?
And cleaned out the entire WW division of all top contenders in his era...He's 50-0. He's gonna be remembered for that. That's all that matters.
