Anybody still buy DVDs?

I dunno brehs I can't help myself. I know the technology is pretty much outmoded but I like the fact they're so cheap now and I can own the movie. I just bought Dune, There Will be Blood, and The Inside Man the other day.

I've never really got on the Blu-Ray wave. Should I? I mean they're so many cheap DVDs at Goodwill now.

I have a ton of vhs tapes I need to figure out what I'm going to do with. Don't want the same for my DVD collection.

Maybe I'm being sentimental, but I feel DVDs wont end up like VHS because they were integrated into computers and they're so cheap.

I don't. I already have a library of them from when they were the go-to format. I don't want them taking up more space when it's not necessary anymore.

Most people just stream on netflix and the like.

Others have gone digital (vudu, itunes)

Hardcore movie fans buy blu rays

I do. Not as much as I used to but I got a very, very deep dvd collection from way back when and some higher resolution isn't enough for me to cop a blu-ray instead when dvd's are cheaper.

I buy Blu .. I'll only get the DVD if the blu is not availble...I have a vast collection and some DVDs i dont see the need to upgrade

Completely unwatchable to me in 2015. After all these years of watching tv in HD. Would be like watching non hd channel

This. Their is No excuses to be buying the DVD release over the Blu-ray release in 2015. I see deals A LOT MORE for Blu-ray releases more than I do for the DVD.

If you care enough about a movie to own it, why would buy it in SD?

I'm still debating about buying a blu-ray player. At first, i didn't b/c blu rays cost so much. Now, I just tend to stream. Like I'd rather buy a movie on instant video. And it saves space. but the dvd/blu ray is handy is you want ot watch special features.

Not really. The only video games I own are DDR on the PS2 and Wii dancing
