I've heard so many mixed hardline reviews...people either love this movie for being crazy as fukk or they hate it for being stupid as fukk...I'm torn on whether to see it or not
I plan on seeing it just not sure when. But I'm interested just in how crazy the premise is. I like when guys take chances

i saw the first screening of this. Kevin Smith was there, introduced the movie, and no one - not one person - knew how to respond when the movie ended. i was in a theater full of his friends, employees, etc, and no one seemed sure what they just watched. I kinda think i may have liked it, b/c i thought about it a lot afterwards. need to watch it again, but it's definitely ridiculous, and to be fair he basically introduced it by saying a lot of people won't like it, but fukk em, it's supposed to be crazy

Im not surprised it got a mixed review. Kev said in the podcast when he was brainstorming the idea and even afterwards he imagined it to be like one of those B movie Hammer Horror films of the 70s and 80s. If it looks pulpy and out there and fukked up its the point
It is just stupid though. And not in a fun way. It is justawful in a "there was no reason for this bullshyt to be made and if it was going to be made then it damn sure should have at least been fun" kind of way.
the actual Tusk story part was good imo. the movie fails everywhere else. The surprise cameo, that he rufused to advertise for some stupid reason
was funny, but the whole long ass scene where he's talking to Michael Parks in flashback was ridiculous and brought the movie to a halt. the weird cheating b plot with Haley Joel Gianthead and Justin Long's GF was horribly done, and the podcast thing with the kid cutting his leg off was garbage. everything inside that house was good, imo.
