Bahamadia is a name that should appear on female MC lists more often, her ability to rap so smoothly and effortlessly, over any type of beat, is a gift in itself, on this album she gets the bulk of the production from DJ Premier, due to her association and ties with the Gang Starr Foundation, also you have Da Beatminerz, Ski Beatz, The Roots & Guru himself on the beats and N.O. Joe on two of the more toned down crossover records on the album, the production is very peaceful and relaxing for the most part, Bahamadia is well suited to that direction, with the way she raps in such a smooth, calming unique manner, she has a great ear and way with delivery and melody, she just glides over the production with ease, like a female version of Q Tip, its a Jazzy Boom Bap album done in a traditional and self respecting way, she doesn't have to say anything sexual or controversial to grab your attention, shes just fly and cool on the mic, with some confident punchlines, over this dreamy backdrop of fitting production.
