that low ass monthly payment you want:snoop: think about how long that would take to pay off.

I would pay enough each month so that I come out on top or break even. :smugfavre:

It's a nice start....it's a nice start.

Not quite up to The Coli standards, but you're getting there. :mjpls:

i live near the ocean and my uncles have boats and let me tell you they're more of a pain in the ass if anything. motors are always going, it needs to be upkept every year and you need to keep it at a dock in the marina which is a few g's a year. imagine owning a 1996 pontiac grand prix....thats how it will be with maytenenance

overall though its fun to go out on their boats fishing and getting sun just cruising the water

If there's no saltwater you should be in luck. Oh, and please don't ever say boat and investment in the same sentence, it will never appreciate, and is only a luxury item. I would personally go with a sea-ray over the motorized life raft if you're looking for an entry level boat, but to each his own :manny:

I say investment b/c there's people who have had boats for 20-25 years and can still use them. It may not yield you profit to sell it, but if you take care of it it'll last you a really long time.

More than you can say for a car. :manny:

If it's too much maintenance though, then I'd agree fully with you.

I've worked on those kinds of boats, doing paint/repair, 300 plus foot yachts are just staggeringly decadent and extravagant, cost 120k to fill up the gas tank. It's overwhelming the kind of money you need for something like that, only the top of the wealthiest can afford them, and even then...You'll spend everyday on that boat and never see the inside lol, they bought the entire pant crew of like 30 people brand new sneakers, to minimize dirt and grime.

Spent like 3 months on that boat, painting the sides, and like a dozen others.

That's one thing for sure, boats last way longer than cars. Boats, planes, helicopters have a ridiculous lifespan. I know nikkas with boats from the 80s working just fine. Makes me think these automakers :scheme: to make sure you have to get a new car every 8-10 years. Anyway my dude, you only live once, what the f*ck is $135/month, if you got a solid job, buy it, and enjoy life :obama: (I would budget $500/month for maintenance though :lolbron:)

Boating in the northeast in the summer is :blessed: and by the way Beantown is THE most underrated city in the US in my humble opinion. You got Asians, you got Latinas, you got Irish chicks, you got a high rate of education, relatively clean, mad amount of young chicks because of all the colleges there, really a dope town. :obama:

Boston is a great city it gets alot of hate for no reason. sure it has a shady past with racism but that was decades ago. the city is really different from a few generations ago when our grandfathers were young

today Boston is a diverse happening place. theres literally something new to do here every day, theres concerts every night and you pointed out its best qualities its young and fun. it ranks high in literally every catagory

i dont think people get what kind of city is because they never been. alot of people are used to these boring sprawled cities but come here and get mind blown at how good it actually is here. i can go on and on

you in Boston for long or were you?

drove through a few times while I was in NYC, Massachusetts as a whole is a great state, it's got a California feel to it minus the weather, with the hills and the laid back attitude

Best thing is to have a best friend that owns a boat. Owning one yourself is quite the hassle.
