I wanna write Young Adult novels tho. Whether it's a science fiction, fantasy, or romance novel, I'm gonna be doing that for Young Adults. The first book I've ever written was in my senior year of HS, and then my second I wrote last year as a freshman year in college. They both have really GREAT ideas and visions, but I'm going to adjust some things before I try and get them published tho. But all of this college work is holding me back and shyt :sadcam:

Oh you tryna get that movie deal, I see you breh. Trying to write the next Hunger Games. :youngsabo:

I'm thinking of trying to get poetry books published since my novel game is cheeks. :to: Call me MyBreh Angelou

:sadcam: I manually do my writing. I'll write something special for you :takedat:

:ohmy::ohmy:

your skin is like a kingdom built by the sea
a smile that shines as the sun gives light
to have the visions shine for me to see
a star such as you thats eternally bright
the towers of unrest fade as the day shall fall
as the unrelenting winds bring forth the dusk
like darkness being swept up in withdrawl
a man will lose the battle against his lusts
to float in the river of ones personal hell
would be to sink in the struggle of denial
it'd be to find redemption if her panties fell
the warcry of her passion is the sonnet of his survival

Got a bunch of poems I wrote back in my teenage Simping days.

"As Pyramids stand majestic under the Egyptian sun, a hint of the glory we as a people possessed and to our nobility providing a ghost of a clue. I am struck with the revelation that such beauty absolute could be passed down through generations and manifest itself within you. Perhaps that's why inspiration has my brain writing furiously in the wee morning hours composing a text with the symphonic longings stirring romantic melody through my heart. Maya Angelou's brilliance I may not have but the genius in this script is describing you as a work of art. So as I compose with the memory of your kiss making me smile take these humble words as heartfelt and 100% true. This is neither the beginning nor end, just a short preview."

:gladbron: I write poetry and short stories. I even write novels too -- I've already written 2, but I'm re-doing them tho.

:smugbiden: It's my dream to become a full-time novelist

:gladbron: thats so dope. how long was the process the first go round? are you trying to get published?

:ohhh: Lemme think for a second.... The first one took about 5 months -- same with the second book -- and yes, I'm tryna get published, but not the books I wrote tho. Not now at least. I'm bringing them back to theirs skeleton, altering the plot, and adjusting the characters. But for the most part the stories are still the same. Just done differently.

And I go to Barnes & Noble every other week. There's a shuttle from my college that runs to the mall and I stop by every now and then to cop a new book. Last year I went on a Stephen King buying spree :wow: :noah: I'm bout to start The Stand pretty soon

Thanks breh, I like the moral type of stories. What kind of stuff you write about?

I like the basic character driven stuff. This gonna sound weird; but, as a kid, I was always in my head. I basically made everyone, in my school, apart of my "story." I just needed people and I make some scenarios. That's how it started off. I got a thousand different characters in my head.

Since I'm a Hip-Hop head, I've created my own record label. And since I'm an artist, I've even created a logo, artist and given 'em all a story/history.

I always put myself into anything I'm consuming (eg pretending I'm a character on a sitcom I'm watching and create scenarios).

I've even taken custom video game characters and made "fan fiction" from my time playin' seasons, in a basketball game.

I just don't write 'em down. I got plenty of notes, ideas, sketches, etc. But, I haven't "put it together" since I was a kid.

I admire your ability to emotionally drive that Dinner story. I've always been great at school papers and I'm creative, but, I can't wait to get over this wall and be able to start to "move" people with my creative writing.

I'm just makin' more time for my art.

Yea. That's generally what a lot of different writers have said online. Anywhere from 5 months to a year. But no bullshyt, that's really dope bruh. You already did what I'm trying to do...twice. Keep it up :salute:

I went on a buying spree the last few weeks too. Read 4 books last month and bought 14 books to keep me busy from now until April :smugdraper: The whole Harry Potter series (never read it), the first two from the City of Bones series, four from the Game of Thrones series and The Host (shyt was so bad I stopped after the 2nd chapter tho :beli:)
