They are talking about young people with smart phone. Anyway it says while many short period of time young people outside of the smartphone get abnormal in body increase . What impact it. For smartphone users before secretary is going to increase year by year well I tried sorry
Yeah, you know some words here and there but you don't actually know it fluently to say you understand it.

She said "There's an increasing amount of people with unusual body pain in relation to many young users with prolonged usage on smart phones." "What effect does this have? I too have taken a real look into this." Japanese uses lots of context to make up for missing words so sometimes you won't hear a word but the english sub will a word that actually isn't said.

Same thing with subs. I'm not fluent yet either but I notice people who say "I know Japanese!" get a false sense of security from subs where they think they know something because they associate a word or small short phrase to a sub. Like they'll see for example some anime character swing a sword at a monster and scream shi ne! and go "oh that means die!" or dai jou bu when someone is asking someone if they're alright. I don't watch anything with subs at all. I don't understand 100% but I can sometimes depending on the content follow along the plot or gist of what's going on.

Edit; Here's the clip i recorded.

Learning Japanese is a waste of time. Japan is the only country in the world that speaks Japanese. Most Japanese want nothing to do with you and the ones that do will just speak to you in English.

I can understand the sentiment up til the highlighted. Having lived in various parts of Japan for a total of 3 years in my mid twenties, I can tell you this ain't true at all. Japanese are usually only above North Korea in English proficiency tests.

But don't discourage folks from trying new things cuz you don't like it. I'm down here in Texas but fukk learning Spanish. I opted to learn French and teach myself up to business level Japanese. Do you.

It's way easier now to start learning languages now that smartphones are here. They came out right around the time I grad from college and full of useful apps. Like I said, dunno how much extra cash you floating about but that Japan tv link I sent out is legit. They finally made the app work for iPhone and Droid, I'm doing paperwork and watching TV right now on my phone in good quality.

The long post I posted above has a link to a site called Ajatt(All japanese, all the time) which has an Table of contents with a boatload of articles. If you're serious, read the entire TOC to understand how it's done.

Can't believe that site is still around. I started learning Japanese and recall seeing that site when that Kaz dude started learning Japanese. He the one updating the site?
