I've seen some shops in LA call it bubble tea, but for the most part it's boba.
P.S. For those who live around the Orange County area there's this one bomb ass boba place called Almond Haus. They use almond milk instead of regular milk and their milk teas are

It's basically like fruit tea or smoothies with tapioca pearls...it's chronic.
Anyways I had that bubble tea maybe a month back. My friend wanted to try it so I went with her. I got a slush, I think strawberry with I believe rainbow jelly mixed in. Was real good. I like that it had a fruit punch sort of taste to it. She got some weird flavor and her daughter got a milk one. Tried them both but wasn't fukking with them like that. Not for a whole drink atleast. Them and her husband all like mine. I don't think I can do that milk and tea mix. That's why the slush was good enough. But them things are huge. And it was the smallest size. I drank half that shyt. I been meaning to go back but ok not trying to have all that sugar and calories right now. As if I'm a healthy eater anyways. But yeah I'll definitely check them out again. Looks like that's the new hot spot huh? Like it's gonna be growing more now?
Yeah, I usually get a milk tea with no boba , popcorn chicken with rice. They even add a fried egg on top to spot I go in San Diego.
