No offense to the younger brehs, but I only consider the satin jackets and first parkas to be real Starter Jackets.

I got the Giants starter in the 6th grade, I felt like I was the man. I wore that shyt until it wasn't puffy no more.

I was the first person at a 4000 student school to get a Kings starter jacket. For about two weeks, the older kids would stop me to check out my parka. I'm lucky I didn't get my shyt took.

Hell naw! I wanted one for Christmas but the son of one of my Mom's friends got jumped at the bus stop at Public Square downtown Cleveland and they took his Jordan's. Breh was 12 and got jumped by some 18-20 year olds

Didn't even want one after I saw his face afterwards

I remember dudes on the news use to get smoked for the Bulls and Raiders jackets, with the combination of wearing Jordan's with them and you were a walking lick.

Had it's moments. I believe 93 was the summer of violence. A lot of murders that year, gangs were all over throughout the 90s. Not a big black pop but east side of Denver has historic black neighborhoods and gangs as well as bigger Mexican population with multiple gangs. Darrent Williams (Broncos player)was murdered by crips New Year's Day 07 Near Downtown Denver. I was at the game earlier that day watching him play, murdered hours later. RIP
