Edit : Niners probably felt they werent gonna be able to get a Will LB in the draft so went this route. Im fine with it as long as they move onto safety and just get who they want at FS so we can move onto other matters

Alexander will receive $54 million over four years, with $27 million in rolling guarantees. He’ll make $13.5 million per year, a new high-water mark for inside linebackers. He's also coming off of a torn ACL that he just tore in October.

That's damn near Antonio Brown money, albeit it's one more year but he's an inside backer making Prime Pat Willis, Navorro Bowman money.

its a 2 year deal essentially also i wouldnt have paid big money for CJ Mosley. Out of all the LBs who were on the market they went with someone who they can trust in coverage. Regardless how we feel about the #'s 9ers needed a Will LB in the worst way. Im sure what they paid him will not hamper them from getting other FA's. We still have enough for E.T and a corner we needed a veteran next to Warner
