Yep! I ended moving out to Norfolk tho. Used to work at McArthur mall-- almost got a job at military circle but that place was ratchet af.

My mom fought off a crackhead who tried to rob her in the Military Circle parking lot in the late 80's. True story.

I lived in Hampton and Newport News for years and loved it. I'm in Raleigh now but if my girl would get down with the program I'd be back in Hampton tomorrow.

Military Circle is half-dead now. Damn near every department store is closed. Only jewelry and clothing stores left in there.

And the fountain water smelled the last time I was in there for something other than the theater

I was stationed in Norfolk (NATO)
As army we utilized services all over: Fort Monroe, Fort Eustis, Fort Lee, etc.

And also the Naval hospital in Portsmouth.
fukking Portsmouth was like the zombie apocalypse.

Everyday it would be blocks of homeless and dope fiends lined up for the shelters.

I worked with this Navy cac that bought a house in Portsmouth dead in the worst area by the shelters.
His shyt got broken into beaucoup times.
