Soooo, I started copying a bunch of shyt to it, and after it finished many of the folders were empty, so I deleted everything. However the drive shows 67 GB in used space. It won't let me reformat, and when I defrag I can see there's one large .CHK file. I can't figure out how to delete that file....I can't even see it in Windows Explorer (yes, I can see hidden files)...anybody know what I could do here?

(I know, you get what you pay for :skip:)

I have no idea...i just immediately get an error message saying that "Windows was unable to complete the format" :mindblown:

I'm bout to look up some old DOS commands to see if I can delete that file through the command prompt...

if that doesn't work , try to use a gparted or Linux distro live cd to do the format...i usually get better results on unix

OK, so I found the .CHK file...well actually, it's files and there's over 10k of them :damn:

Apparently they're system files, and while I could view hidden files I couldn't view system files....I deleted those and still have 22 GB used :mindblown:

I used a program called puresync to back up my music (~88GB) and I think, or at least hope, that is what caused all of this.

I'm about to try that gparted to see if it'll format...
