I've been to a few. The most memorable was a WWF show in 1995 when business was down and they were going to small venues. In a crowd of less than 1,000, I saw Undertaker w/ Paul Bearer beat Kama in a casket match. :krs:

Also, Shane Douglas was there as Dean Douglas, and The Bodydonnas were there, featuring a fairly young and unknown Sunny. Razor Ramon, Man Mountain Rock and Rad Radford were all there.

Definitely the wrestlers seemed more relaxed. They just seemed to be having fun out there, not taking the show very seriously, and interacting with the crowd a lot more. The venue was small enough that you could hear everything they were saying.

Use to always love going to House Shows in Toronto between 96-98ish. Like most of ya'll said, there was a lot more freedom and the show was usually catered to your city as far as promos and what not. Was always cool cause they'd have the Skydome roof open at night for most of them, even did one at the EX (BMO Field).. Taker vs Goldust casket match, lol. Was front row with moms for that.

Basically PPV length matches without title changes, or they'd tease a change by having someone winning then getting DQ'd right after  Good times.

Been to one back in like July or when ever Y2J was suspended(went there really to see him :sadbron:).

Fun night brought my little brother with me. Funkasurses opened the show and let me tell u watching his dancers up and close was a beautiful thing...seem like they put a little extra into the routine when they saw me.:mjpls:

Seth rollins? I think that was his name wrestled he was good but 2 marks were talking about how he should be on tv and trying to predict his moves during his entire match.

Cena beat Tensi and Big Show at the same damn time.

Punk vs Bryan ended the show and was the best. They had some fun with the crowd the best is when Bryan asked if there was any DB fans and this super fat guy was screaming yes.

might go to one in January at Staples Center. i know they aren't the one's on tv but wanted to know if it's worth it

I went to the last house show at Staples. Here's what you should expect:

- no big titan tron, but you get a small little entrance with a ramp
- most guys get mic time
- longer matches
- dont take signs cause really, these are not filmed so its pointless
- there's an intermission
- usually run 2 hours

they're lots of fun

Went to one at MSG this year. Lots of fun. Youll see how over people are there. If youre in a good section the hecklers are worth the price of admission alone. One thing ive heard universally is D Bry gets a godlike reception in most bigger cities.

Like others have said a lot of times house shows are better than tv shows. I haven't been to one in ages seeing as I'm not into wrestling enough anymore to go to a show live.

The best one I went to was in '97 when DX was just Shawn Michaels and HHH. Early in the night someone was talking shyt to HHH as he came out and threw some of his bottled water at HHH. Later in the night when HBK had a match HHH came out with him found the fan from earlier and spit a mouth full of water into his face.

House shows >>>>> Tapings.

Longer matches, no unnecessary fillers, and better photo ops. You get more for your money, ticket price-wise IMO.

My favorite was a Cm Punk/Jeff Hardy/Edge triple threat match in 2009.
