Overall I think AM has NB beat.

AM90's / LTD's are classics.

I just scooped up some Air Max's recently but those New Balance 998's are dope! I may cop a pair depending what colorway I like.

We can tell in this topic who's about functionality and who's about style. For functionality then you can't go wrong with New Balance, but for style you go for air maxes. Several New Balance styles though are just piff though.

I have a pair of New Balance for running. They are good, but the soles are almost toast. I jog in them until the rubber layer is worn out where you can see the mid-sole foam.
My main running sneakers are Reebok Zig-type trail running shoes. The shoe is kind of heavy. The mid-sole has that funny zig-zag patter going along the side. I don't trail run though, I jog on streets.

air max 1s are hands down my favorite shoe over anything, but recently I've been fukking with some newbies for everyday and the ronnie fieg materials and colorways are PIFF also might look into some aasics gel lytes
