They need to make a full game where you play as the Joker and Batman is the villain. People would eat that shyt up.

Joker don't have the skill or gadgets to be fun enough to play with for an entire game. Playing as Joker in AA is boring compared to Bats

I enjoyed them both. I really don't have a preference because they felt exactly the same to me, the environment in AC was just expanded. I'd go with AC because there were more gadgets and Batman goodness. More stuff to do and Catwoman was added. It was more bang for your buck. But as far as just perferring one over the other because of how they feel, I couldn't do it because they felt exactly the same.

One thing I will say is, it took me a few plays to get into AA once I was into it I couldn't put it down. I just started playing AC so I have only played it a couple of times. By this time next week with a few more plays under my belt I may prefer AC.

If you can get pass these side missions, then the rest of the game is enjoyable.

I think the way the game was designed had something to do with people just blowing through it without doing the side stuff.

I remember playing the game with an urgent mentality because of the build up with Bats trying to catch Joker, and with him combating the poison he was injected with.

I went through the game like :damn: I gotta hurry and get this dude before I'm weak and die.

There were tons of other things to do besides the main missions, but the way the game's story played out made it feel like you were in danger and on a time limit.

I think I'm like 60 or 70 something complete in that game though, I still have to go back and finish some stuff up, but I know I 100% AA, and I still think AC is better in every way.

Yeah thats pretty much how I been doing it. I realize now that I need to just slow down and take in the whole game.

I will admit though, the Ra's Al Ghul shyt is great. Can't wait to see what else goes on there.

AA was kinda like Portal because it came out of nowhere, everybody thought is looked kinda good (for a Batman game) but when the demo was releashed people thought is was gonna be a straight beat 'em up. AA had a tighter story but AC had that "greatest hits" vibe with all those villains so I can see why people would like AA more but AC had much better gameplay.

Love them both.

:HAAAAAAA:

:sadcam:

once you finish the Augmented Reality shyt, you get the grapple hook boost and you can fly all around the city instead of running around it. so if the size of the city is a problem for you then this is your solution.

good luck.

I know I'm late as hell on both these games but I finally got em about a week ago. All I kept hearing was how great Arkham City was and Arkham Asylum was ok, but Arkham City was outta this world :stopitslime:

Now, I'm only about 20-30% done with Arkham City, but so far I don't get it. This big open city shyt is annoying to me and just not been enjoyable so far. I'm sure it gets better, I'm at the part where I just whipped Freeze ass and I'm bout to go chase after Harley Quinn, but I'm having a hard time even wanting to play this shyt. I don't like the story that much at all and I'm tired of these dumbass side missions and having to fight these goons every 2 seconds.

Arkham Asylum was dope as fukk to me. I loved the dark element to that game. The closed in Asylum environment > the big ass Arkham City. I couldn't stop playing Asylum and it seems like a pain in the ass just to play Arkham City.

What's the general opinion on both these games on here? Have I just not played enough of Arkham City yet or what?

I was like this at first, but once I got used to Arkham City... I can't go back. Both games go hard though.

Definitely prefer Arkham Asylum

-better atmosphere
-Scarecrow parts
-here, claustrophobic setting > open world setting
-Joker was better
etc.

Both games are great, but AA was just a better, tighter experience

AA = Die Hard
AC = Die Hard with a Vengeance
