Worked at a place like jiffylube, most of these places don't change your oil filter or give you the oil you pay for, but rather the one that is easiest, for example if they have a bulk conventional oil tank with a pump you're probably gonna get that instead of your $55 mobil 1. Also at Jiffylubes they keep a dirty air filter laying around just to bring inside and tell people its theirs and that they need a new one, they have a upsell quota they have to meet so they will sell you as many things as possible while doing as little of it as possible.
The solution to this is to ask to see the old filter (or whatever part that was replaced)/empty bottles the new oil came in, they have to show you by law.
Also some places like wal-mart don't pay commission on upselling or work done but offer lets say a 16 point service like checking tire pressures, tranny fluid, power steering fluid, battery test, etc. None of that gets done unless the customer asks specifically how it is (even then it will most likely not be checked), is watching or it is something the customer can blatantly see whether it was done or not, such as vacuuming the car or cleaning the windshield.

Learn to change your own oil.

Well its not the safest situation, really not worth death, paralysis or any other ungodly ways to die or live (in extreme fukked upness the rest of your life)

You are 1.5k over what number? When was the last time u changed ur oil, at how many miles and what kind of car is it? If its a really nice and you REALLY dont want to fukk it up too bad, curb it. Piece of shyt, dont risk death, it'll prolly still run.

Have an '02 Nissan Frontier XE. Took it to the dealership each time to get the oil change/serviced. Avg I pay is usually about $30 but they do the 15 point inspection, use synthetic oil and wash it for me. 140K later, and it still runs like new.

Got a coupon to get the oil changed there for $19.95 :win:

fukk Jiffy Lube though :pacspit: They overcharge and are sloppy as hell. Went there when I had my old truck and they left all of the dirty paper mats they use to service it in my truck, oil was all over the engine cause those fukkers didn't even put the oil cap back on it all the way when they were done. Yeah, I got a free oil change when I went off at them for it but I stay away from them .

I got my mechanic to change my oil so at the same time, he can check for any other problems or potential problems. Wanna keep my shyt in top performance. But u gotta get a trustworthy mechanic.

Last car ran for 275,000, no issues with engine or turbo at all. Something with radiator or hose. was time for new car anyways:win:

Top 4
30 at Walmart

And that air filter is the biggest scam ever
Cost like 7 bucks and it's something you can pop out and in, in two seconds
