Keeping it šŸ’Æ...if you got out the military before your 20 years...you've played yourself!

Take it from someone who regrets it every day.

It's worked out in the end for me, but all my friends who did their 20 were basically rich and kicked back before me. I was out here scrambling because I took the security of the military for granted.

At the least you have better leave with 100% disability. Anything other than that you fumbled a bag.
I have 100% disability so Iā€™m good. (But didnā€™t get it until like 5 years after I was happily out) But i got out before that and got my education free and all of that. So I had already gained something. Everybody not trying to spend they whole life doing some shyt they hate just for the $..people quit great jobs everyday because they find something else that gives them better peace of mind. Itā€™s not worth it for everyone. And everyone donā€™t join for the same reason. 20 in the marine corps would not have been worth it ā€œfor meā€.. Iā€™d rather work a 9 to 5 I fukk with my entire life..as a corporal I told my marines only that they was wasting they time if they chose to get out, if they didnā€™t use they gi bill. And even if not still you get a Va loan for your homeā€¦and if not thatā€¦ hopefully you developed a sense of self discipline that you took into your career and helps you prosper everyday..Speak for yourself. A lot of our parents grandparents and whomever were enlisted. They didnā€™t play themselves. They got out of it whatever they needed. Personally I joined only for school and sharpening my mind and confidence. You regret it. Not all of us. So many extremely successful veterans who are happier when they get out and donā€™t regret it buddy. But props to everyone who did they 20

You gonna have to speak for yourself

I get what you saying, but some didn't want to stay for 20+ years and did just fine, some really are lifers but by the time they get out, they still working but usually can only work in military type positions on civilian side

Not bad decisions either way. Also, retirement payout ainā€™t the same no more I heard
Facts! Bro I donā€™t care if my life turned out with me struggling (it didnā€™t). I was done in that 4 years with them crackers and that whole mentality . A lot of close minded bigoted people I couldnā€™t fukking stand. And I say that as someone who still says it was the most fun experience of my life. I donā€™t respect authority enough to be talked to crazy . I would have became an officer if I stayed, but I still was done with that marine environment. (Definitely not knocking anyone who stayed in.. just me) i wouldnā€™t trade a single job Iā€™ve had while I been out for staying in 20 years
