Demand for bikes since the pandemic has been CRAZY!!! So much so even bike repair shops are backed up on basic repairs. I had to wait 2 weeks for a repair that ordinarily take 1-2 days.

If you’re looking for a good bike store I’d check “The Old Bike Shop” in Alexandria, VA. I got a good Trek bike from them for about $300 (remade bike from used parts)

The have a good used selection and they also make custom bikes.

I’d say look for Trek for that $700-$800 range but something new might be back logged.

Found an online retailer for a Fuji Absolute that’ll deliver by 5/4. Not happy about paying shipping for a bike but it’s the bike I wanted and given the wait times, I’ll take it!

Found a bike but fukk ass DHL got it trapped in the system
