Libertarians are to the left of liberals on many social issues(foreign policy as well). Especially those favoring minorities. I'm not sure why they are regarded with such contempt...
Placing equality of opportunity, over equal result must really be terrifying.

Libertarians advocate economic policies that will result in an even higher percentage of the country's weath being concentrated among a small minority of people in the country. Currently the top 1 percent of Americans have over 40% of the nations wealth, but apparently that's not enough and the rich deserve to have an even slice of the pie. If we implemented Libertarian policies they'd probably have 80% and the poor would have even less.

That kind of thinking is, in a way, even more dangerous than Republican religious nonsense.

The wealth they hoard is protected by the one thing libertarians want to do away with... govt.

Their monopolies are protected by guess what? yep, govt. The tax loopholes they exploit are written and enforced by?... yep govt.

Libertarians want to remove the barrier to entry and open up the markets to everyone, as opposed to your govt. regulated market open only to their buddies
