That is exactly what I am saying.Just to be clear. I am descendant from African slaves on both sides. Including DNA from Native and European.. just like most descendants of slaves.

What I am talking about is people from other lands across the ocean vs people from this part of the world.
A European calling a South American an illegal immigrant is ironic. Cause the European is literally not from anywhere near here. Same with Africans and anyone else from the Old World.
Immigrant implies they came here of their own free will. Our ancestors came here bound in chains, dragged from their homes and families and then even separated farther by being sent to different areas in the Western Hemisphere. We did not immigrate, and placing our Ancestors in the same category as those who came here of their own accord is doing a disservice to the real history of how our Ancestors were forced here in bondage.
So no, we are not the same nor have the same background as those whose family packed up and came here. Our ancestors were dragged here.
