So what's this supreme being they worship
:mjpls:

There is no "worshipping" done in Masonry. Masonry encourages men to worship a Supreme Being of their choice, and regularly participate in worship services (church, mosque, etc).

I heard stories about masons killing other people because they were representing being a mason fraudulently. He was a pretty reilable source.

Masonry discourages its members from causing any harm to anyone. And "taking light" is discouraged among the GOOD members.

Personally, if someone tries to take my possessions, that's called stealing. Good luck explaining that to the judge.

If you get gripped up and aren't truthful light can be dimmed until you are ready.

The art of being a craftsman has been long lost amongst today's KNIFE AND FORK travelers......

other than the networking and life long bonds and friends you might meet, their really isn't much in terms of "light" to be shed amongst those aspiring canidates...

or as an old Noble once told me...."No more water is being served at the well..........."

Translation: YOU'RE NOT WORTHY of wearing the JEWELS

most organizations are like that...if you ain't repping right or know your "shyt" YOU GOTTA TAKE THEM STRIPES, LOGOS or FLAGS or whatever insignia your organization goes by...

I've seen frat guys at college get their jackets snatched off their body in public at an HBCU...I've seen a five percenter go home shirtless in 20 degree weather following a rakim concert because he didn't know his supreme math....I've bare witnessed to a traveler telling me how he was gonna make another traveler take his square and compass off of his car , because he had yet to pass to that M.M level...

it's some serious shyt son.........but it's designed to keep the wayward, weak, frauds, eavesdroppers and 85ers from commiting a grave error, while maintaining the quality of the particular craft or school of thought..so mote it be :manny:

Yeah mane. Thank God I was raised by old heads (literally and figuratively...heh)

That emblem goes a looooooong way. Sad that so many refuse to travel outside their circle of comfort.

Just a little info in reference to the order of eastern stars a few posts back,

The OES was put into place in the USA in Victorian times by Rob Morris, a well knwn Mason of Those times. Both Men [M.M's] and women are members. the women- mothers , sisters, daughters, etc of M.M's. There is a single initation ceremony, which both sexes go through, however it isnt a degree.

A chapter is preceded over by a Worthy Matron and a Worthy Patron, seconded by A.M. and A.P. The Warder could either be female or male. the others are all women. Every Chapter must have at least 1 man (to be W.P). If no other man is availbale , the AP is dispensed with.
