Not looking for one of the tiny ultra portable joints, just want a decent speaker that can sit in the living room and play all my tracks off the Mac and iPhone wirelessly... The below Sonos and Marshall speakers look good but does anyone else have any recommendations?

This is a good suggestion for Bluetooth. As it seems you use Apple products you might want to look for something with Airplay built in, will make playing your music/podcasts etc less of a hassle.
I have a Panasonic All 3 speaker (doesn't have airplay fyi but is DLNA compliant) it has solid internals make for great sonics and also allows for FLAC playback if that sort of thing matters to you.

This and the Bose Mini Soundlink are easily the best portable speakers you can by. Sound and build quality is top notch.
My original Soundlink survived a house fire!
That might need a thread of its own. I'm interested in a few reccomendation as well. I have a few samsung bars but I'd like to upgrade while I stack for a full surround sound system with receiver.
