Having one good/great season isn't enough to elevate a player to that level
For example,Isaiah thomas season in 16/17 was better than Ant last season where he finished on 28.9 ppg, clutch as fukk and took the celtics to ECF and yet He didn't receive half the hype or elevation. We have seen plenty of players have great seasons and never got elevated, Ant's elevation was neither merited nor organic
Define this “elevation” you’re talking about? IT had all kinds of hype and fanfare. Even non-Celtics fans were cheering for him because he was doing what he did at his size. He was in commercials, name mentioned everywhere. Televised matchups, etc.
There is no “elevation”. If ANYBODY being celebrated, it’s Ant. His game puts asses in seats. Adidas gave him his own shoe, like many other signee’s. Were they not supposed to promote him?
Not only do wolves fans froth at the mouth over him, others tune into his highlights almost every game. Plus he stays out of trouble.
