ANT's elevation by the media and fans last season was nothing more than a response to foreigners takeover of the league

No serious person believed for a second that He's on the same level as Jokic,Giannis,Luka,SGA and now Wemby but the league was desperate for an American to be the face of the league after Bron and ANT just isn't that guy.

So until a player on the same level or better than those foreigners come into the league, We will continue to see pretenders like Ant,Morant before him, elevated and failing to take the mantle as they are not good enough

That's the bitter truth, I get it, it's human nature to want your own to be the flag bearer but it has to be merited and a young Lebron ain't walking through that door anytime soon:yeshrug:

Or maybe it’s because his play style’s exciting. We’re gonna act like players like AI, Kobe, Vince, Penny, Blake, etc all weren’t elevated by the league and fans before they really took that step near the top

Only Kobe was elevated as the GUY (MJ successor) out of the bunch and that took him winning multiple championships and even then, shaq,AI and duncan were still seen as superior players up until his 3rd title in 03

There's a difference between the recognition players receive for having a great season and the elevation into supertar dome, Those are not the same thing

He's avg like 27 shooting 42 percent from three

What more do you want? His team just isn't that good got like a 40 year Conley and Julius Randle and Gobert
Having one good/great season isn't enough to elevate a player to that level

For example,Isaiah thomas season in 16/17 was better than Ant last season where he finished on 28.9 ppg, clutch as fukk and took the celtics to ECF and yet He didn't receive half the hype or elevation. We have seen plenty of players have great seasons and never got elevated, Ant's elevation was neither merited nor organic

Shooting 42% on 3's on 10 attempts per game

Averaging 27/6/5 on a team with what I would have to think is the worst spacing in the league with their starting lineup

Could average 2 to 3 more assists per game if Rudy Gobert didn't have literal bricks for hands.

Admit it, you have an ulterior motive for this thread.

I don’t know how to read this.

Are you saying that white media loves black men while on some Musk/Trump Neo Nazi DEI shyt claiming that Edward’s didn’t perform well last year while being 22 and having a great charisma/personality on a team that was performing well :dahell:

His stats are even better this year and he’s still in the media. The difference is that the soft frog fell off and KAT is not there, so his team isn’t as good.

Ant is a really good talent, but he's adjusting to being one of the 10 best players in the league

He also needs a more well-rounded team to compliment his strengths and amplify his ability to win

I think he'll be a consistent top 5-6 player in his prime

This is a bizarre post since Minnesota has been playing great (Prior to the injuries of Julius and Naz). He just finished January averaging 31 a game
