Did you watch the whole series? "Hood" definitely has levels to his acting & showed all kinds of range in it

As hood, he was a bad guy pretending to be good and ultimately became good...
Here, he is just a psychopath... he embodies Homelander
In fact... if this goes how it does in the comics, there’s going to be another surprise that will probably show his range even MORE.
