In a recently surfaced video, actor Anthony Mackie, known for portraying Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, declined a photo request from a young fan. The incident has fueled a heated debate on social media platforms, with opinions divided on whether the actor's actions were justified.

In the video, initially posted online but later deleted, a woman is seen approaching Mackie for a photo with her grandson after he had already refused the boy's request. Mackie responds with a firm, "I cannot take a picture." When pressed further, he reiterates, "Absolutely not."


According to The Jasmine Brand, Aundra—the alleged mother of the young fanz_took to her Instagram Stories to share her perspective. She said that this isn't the first time Mackie has refused such requests from children, specifically noting, "Little black boys who look up to him in New Orleans." Though Aundra acknowledged celebrities may require personal space, she expressed disappointment that Mackie didn’t make an exception for young fans, especially those from his hometown.

Interestingly, after the video garnered attention, JD Carrere of New Orleans Pulse interviewed Aundra for more context. It turns out that Mackie was initially being denied entry into a VIP section at a local event. Aundra intervened to help him gain access, after which she approached him for the photo. Although Mackie declined the photo, he did agree to speak with the young boy later.

I ran into him a few times in NYC like right after 8 Mile so he wasn't really known then.. You just know. But you can also go by some of his comments he's made publicly in the past.

The only thing validating this are prior reports of dude. He was off the clock with a cigar and yak in his hand. He politely declined and they pressed again while recording. Nice way to teach entitlement to children.

Maybe the breh was having a bad day and wasn't in the right headspace. He doesn't owe anybody a picture. They want celebrities to be in performance mode 24/7 when these are people with regular lives just like us. That man may have just found out a close friend or family member was sick. Maybe he's just dealing with depression. Maybe he's heart broken. Give folks space and grace.

Crazy part is a lot of these celebrities are very accommodating like 90% of the time. But sometimes they are actually trying to go about their own business and don't have time for distractions like any normal person and thats all it takes for someone to feel like their impression of them is ruined.
If somebody tried to stop me for a photo when i just got off a long work day and was headed home. i might not be in the mood either.

id rather have a quick convo than a pic anyway. Id have more questions for rappers than movie stars anyway. like "is there a beat, that you had that you really couldnt find the right flow, and you passed on it, then someone else got it, and went off?" id like to think theyd be like "ahh yeah ......." talk for 2-3 minutes, but they'd probably be like "no, nah..." and keep it movin and then id have that remorse like " i should just got a pic"
