LeBron is in his 17th year. If AD shows out and wins FMVP, I guess Bron gets to join the looonnngggg list of other greats who added chips to their resumes but weren't Finals MVP, from Kareem all the way down to guys like Kidd (who people consider a Top 10 point), and a whole bunch of guys in between....

He's proven his worth on Finals stages many times over, proven his worth as the best player on his team many times over, there really was nothing else to prove except all the Coli heads on here and elsewhere, who swore up and down he was washed and would retire at 3 rings...

That said, unless AD completely blacks out from this point forward (possible, though unlikely), LeBron will still be viewed as the best player on the '20 Lakers. And in this postseason so far, AD had the better series vs Portland, LeBron had the better series vs Houston, and so far AD is having more success vs Denver, so the Lakers have the luxury of them trading the hot hand (as the Lakers have historically had on their championship teams going back to the Wilt/West/Baylor days)...

As someone else just said, this is gonna be AD's team in short order anyway by virtue of age if nothing else. If this is the "pass the torch" moment, good for all parties involved, and he's been supremely blessed to learn from LeBron. Bron's legacy is fine and just continues to grow, nothing AD does can be spun into a negative for LeBron and I'm sure Bron amd his people arent concerned about this...

Also you didn't say this, but these idiots im here suggesting "the media" wouldn't give AD FMVP, if he blacks out in The Finals and LeBron is relatively pedestrian by his standards, he'll get it easily...

Kobe had Shaq win it 3 times.
Shaq had Wade win a Finals MVP.
Magic had KAJ and Worthy with one each.
Bird had Maxwell win one.
KAJ had Worthy and Magic win 4 total.

Ain't no legacy issue from having other guys win FMVP. I'm sure the Lakers will feed whoever plays best or has the best matchup.
