Why would they trade him now? They still have a year left on his contract. Wait till the summer and get the most out of Boston.

Beaucse you waste a half season winning games with him when you could start your rebuild immediately with a chance to draft Zion or RJ or Ja.... They are currently o KY 2 games out of the 6th seed and this year's lotto odds are flattened




Really this is going to be a difficult decision for Dell Demos and he'll get criticized either way.... You can sit back and wait for Boston but remember.... Everyday that burns off of AD's contract he becomes less and less valuable of a trade asset as teams trading for him will have him guaranteed for fewer games



N.O. Is going to have to decide and quickly IF:

1.Tatum is going to be for sure made available by Boston (a fact that will largely depend on what AD tells Ainge regarding his intents on resigning with the Celtics)

2. Is Tatum more of a valuable asset than getting a high pick in this year's draft + any other packages of young players another team can offer


It's going to be a difficult decision... But I can see some teams like Toronto making it really tough on them to decline making a move now especially if they were to do let's say Siakam + OG + Multiple Picks or if LA does KUZMA + BALL + INGRAM + Multiple picks
