The Lakers think they are getting this franchise player in AD and I do agree he's top 5 talent-wise when healthy.

Dude is injury prone.

He's underachieved with the talent he has had around him, dude has been in the league like 7 years and been out of the first round only once.

AD is a talented enough player he should have been able to get further than the first round or not making the playoffs with Jrue Holiday, Mitotic, Tyreke Evans, Julius Randle.

Holiday is one of top 5-10 two way players in the league. Mirotic, Randle, and Evans were high quality role players.

AD is an injury prone primadonna and pairing him up with an aging LeBron isn't going to yield the results Laker gang are thinking .

Got as far as you saying he underachieved

:mjlol:

How?

Oh and I'm from BR and was a season ticket holder
I've watched for years as the front office here bumbled draft after draft.

They made the playoffs twice in his time here and lost both times to the eventual champion. How is that underachieving?

Been waiting for years for them to put decent wings around him. Holiday was here BUT the nikka was always injured or sitting out.

They finally got it right last season and boogie got hurt. They weren't beating the warriors anyway though

1. Dude stays hurt.

2. Dude has missed the playoffs off and on. This year and also in 2016. Don't tell me how great of a player he is when he can't even get his squad to the playoffs.

3. I watch guys like Kawhi and aging LeBron drag journeymen and role players to the finals and you telling me a player of AD's skill set can't take his team to 44-50 wins. Yea ok.

4. He doesn't make those guys around him any better.

5. It's plenty of teams that draft like trash and management still gets decent talent out there and I feel like the Pelicans did that. Everybody ain't going to have 3 allstars nor is that realistic. Look at teams like the Bucks and Raptors.

And that’s enough for someone who could be an all timer at his position if he’s not already?

no need to implode your roster for the one dude and not be able to improve it...the pelicans are going to need to either get by without kuzma or the pick....Maybe if AD's contract didn't limit the lakers max cap space I wouldn't say that but if they bring in AD they could than split that 28 million between multiple players. That's the standpoint I'm looking at it from because once you do the deal Lebron and AD is basically your roster going forward...I'd try my best to keep Kuzma out or the pick (and I'm positive they rather have the pick over Kuzma)

but that's Lakers bizz the Cavs about to do something I feel it.

Bucks and Raptors are not way better teams personnel wise.

Jrue Holiday is as good a player as anyone of the Raptors or Bucks minus Giannis and Kawhi. I like Middleton and Siakim's games but neither guy is glaringly better.

Don't get me started on guys like Kyle Lowery, Eric Bledsoe, Lopez, and a slightly washed Marc Gasol.

All those squads would be lottery teams taking off their primary option.

You right AD isn't LeBron, but neither is Kawhi and he just led his team to a championship without a definitive 2nd option but AD can't get his team to 44-50 wins and lead his team to the playoffs. Yea ok.

On paper Philadelphia and Golden State had much better personnel than the Raptors.

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
They put a lifelong competitor in a position where he had to essentially give up and phone in the last games of his career

Brooklyn was supposed to be a contender.

And KG waived his no trade clause to go there, and he approved finishing out his career in Minnesota too.

Don’t make stuff up.

These are the 3 second options from the teams I just mentioned including the Raptors, Bucks, and Pelicans.

I removed the names now can you objectively tell me which second option was better.

AD doesn’t want to waste a year of his prime in New Orleans but wants to go to a Lakers or Knicks team that will be worse than New Orleans next year had he stayed. :mjlol:

Exactly. AD doesn't seem interested in winning. He just wants to get to the coasts for "marketing" opportunities or whatever non-basketball pursuits he's got going on.

Lakers and Knicks? Really? With KD and Klay hurt, other teams smell blood and will offer NOLA good deals. He's so insistent on tanking his own value to spite NOLA....they might take a slightly worse deal just to keep him from going where he wants to go.

Isn't it obvious why he wanted to go to NY? There's a reason you don't hear about the Knicks anymore after that achilles tear

Why not go to LA? All this talk about Bron being old when he put up 27/8/8 in a "down" year, his down year is better than 98% of the league's prime year so we're not gonna sit around like a rested LeBron/AD aren't destroying the league. Knock it off.
